What are Medications?
Medications are drugs manufactured by pharmaceutical companies to treat different types of diseases and health conditions. Before entering the market, they undergo many years of rigorous clinical research to ensure they are both effective and safe for human use. Thanks to incredible advances in drug discovery, we have seen remarkable improvements in both life expectancy and quality of life over the past several decades.
While some people worry about potential side effects from medications, most individuals experience mild or no side effects at all. Our doctors are here to help you decide if medications are the right step for your health and can suggest effective alternatives when needed.

What to Expect
We spend a full hour on your first visit, giving you the time to share all your health concerns - we’re here to listen! During the visit, we take a detailed medical history, perform a medical examination, order any necessary blood work, and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.
Your follow up visit is a fantastic opportunity to check-in on your progress, discuss your latest blood work, and make small tweaks to your treatment plan. You can expect a treatment involving pharmaceutical medications to take a few weeks before seeing results, or even sooner in some cases.
Depending on your health progress, we may agree on additional follow up visits to continue optimizing your treatment plan and provide professional coaching along the way. We can also address other health concerns you may have during your follow up visits.

Please note that our Naturopathic Doctors prescribe medications only within the scope allowed by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. When appropriate, they can also collaborate with your Medical Doctor to provide education and recommendations regarding other pharmaceutical options.
