What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient therapeutic practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine that involves inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate natural healing responses.
In modern medicine, acupuncture has been widely studied and is now used as an evidence-based approach to help manage pain as well as other conditions such as IBS and osteoarthritis, offering patients a safe and drug-free option for relief.
Our doctors bring advanced training in acupuncture and electro-acupuncture to deliver safe and effective pain relief you can trust.

What to Expect
Your first acupuncture visit is an hour long during which we will perform an in-depth assessment, request any necessary blood work, and start treatment by inserting very thin (non-painful) needles in specific points on your body to stimulate your nerves and reduce pain.
With certain pain conditions, we may also stimulate your muscles using a mild electric current, which helps relax your muscles and further reduce pain.

Typically, for full benefit, you will then be asked to come in for two weekly 30 minute-long acupuncture sessions for a total of 8-10 sessions.
